What is the gender business network?

The Gender Business Network operates to promote increased diversity and equality by bringing together those professionals working in this industry.

Through cooperation, we can strengthen the industry’s legitimacy in society. We want to broaden and develop our members’ contacts, increase knowledge in the field, method development and create a greater demand for our consultants and our services. The network also opens up for trade-related advocacy.

This sector of social entrepreneurship is changing and encompasses many different approaches. The network will be open to different approaches and definitions, and welcome discussions in a respectful climate. Different views on matters of fact, as long as they are combined with mutual openness, is a powerful force for development. Our shared values are based on the UN’s Declaration of Human Rights, as well as a standard critical and feminist point of view.

Members are expected to observe good corporate ethics and respect for each other as human beings, skilled producers of ideas and competing entrepreneurs. If disagreements arise between members it is best resolved among involved separately.

The actors are members of the Gender Business Network have chosen to unite around this platform of ideas. It must be kept alive in collaboration with the network’s development.
